Our strategy in India has been to capitalize on the first-mover advantage by making an early entry into new high-growth therapy segments, which is driven by developing strong brands across core therapy categories, and the introduction of new products on a regular basis.

Our branded formulations business in India focuses on high growth and large therapy categories such as dermatology, respiratory, cardiovascular, anti-diabetic and oncology. Globally we are also present in therapy categories of gynecology, anti-infective and gastroenterology. To strengthen our branded formulations business in India, we have organized the business into multiple divisions which focus on select therapy categories and have built a strong team of more than 3,700 medical marketing representatives. In addition to the prescription business, we also have a strong OTC business with some strong brands like Scalpe+ and Candid Dusting powder added to our product portfolio.
