Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd has invested in a state-of-the-art Clinical R&D facility in Oxford, UK, which officially opened in September 2008, in line with the growing importance of easy access to global cutting-edge clinical research experience.
The proximity to excellent research and clinical centres at the University of Oxford, the Oxford hospitals and the well-established Oxford Biopharmaceutical hub, strongly supports Oxford and the UK as the location for our Global Clinical R&D centre.
Spread over 4,000 sq ft in the prestigious Oxford Science & Business Park, this facility serves as the Global Centre for Clinical Research & Development for Glenmark.

The R&D facility aims to become a world leading clinical development centre of excellence, efficiently delivering a stream of novel and valuable medicines to patients, for a range of important diseases with high unmet medical needs.
Glenmark’s clinical R&D development for both small molecules and biologics is coordinated out of the UK working closely with the dedicated and experienced clinical team in Mumbai. The Global Clinical team is currently managing more than nine projects in clinical development between Phases I to III around the world.
The team functions to be centred in Oxford are: Global Clinical Project Management; Global Pharmacovigilance; Global Biostatistics; Global Data Management and Global Medical Information

The Clinical Research Centre has a team of highly qualified scientific staff, including MDs and PhDs, with global clinical development experience, spanning more than 20 years in the pharma/biotech industry. The team also has broad therapeutic experience in respiratory, rheumatology, metabolic diseases, neurology, dermatology and oncology.
